Getting started is as easy as giving 720-262-3887 a call or text or emailing me at brooke@daybreakcounselingco.com to set up a free 15 minute consultation.
Logistically, it might be that simple, but taking that first step can be scary. In light of that, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to answer any questions you may have and to make sure we are a good fit before getting started.

Telehealth therapy is therapy provided over a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Telehealth therapy became very popular during the COVID pandemic. Many clients continue to prefer telehealth therapy due to convenience, comfort and flexibility. (Lunch break at work? Let’s do it!) Additionally, some find being in their own environment (favorite blanket? Best furry friend by your side?) helps them work through challenging topics more easily. Daybreak Counseling is currently accepting telehealth clients only at this time.

First and foremost, I’m dedicated to creating a space where you feel safe, heard and seen. In our sessions, we will explore whatever may be bringing you in at your pace in a way that fits your personality, experience and strengths.
I take a very collaborative approach in order to help you achieve your goals. I often use humor in session and my clients typically find me down to earth, approachable and direct. I’m not the kind of therapist that sits in silence. I am also not the expert on your life, and I won’t pretend to be. I do have training, credentials and experience in order to partner with you in your counseling journey.
I will use multiple modalities during our work together depending on your strengths and needs. Some of these include: IFS (internal family systems), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), family systems, DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), attachment based therapy and others.

My rates are as follows:
$120 per 50 minutes of individual counseling (new mom and postpartum counseling falls in this rate category)
$160 per 50 minutes of couples or family counseling
$200 per 110 minutes of couples or family counseling.
I have limited slots for sliding scale clients where I offer reduced rates for extenuating circumstances. If you believe this fits your situation, please reach out and we can discuss.
I do not accept insurance at this time. I am happy to provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Payment forms include cash, check or credit card.
When an appointment is scheduled, you hold that time and no other client may schedule during this time; therefore, appointments cancelled within 24 hours of our meeting time will still be charged the full amount. I appreciate your understanding.

This is a great question! There seems to be a cultural push in our society right now around “everyone needs therapy!” and “I’ll be in therapy the rest of my life!” I can’t say I fully agree. I do see the benefits of therapy (I’m a therapist after all!) but being in therapy for therapy’s sake can be counter productive. I respect your time and your financial investment too much in this process to not make sure we are making progress and have a clear purpose in our work together.
I’m committed to helping you work toward your goals or resolution of whatever may be bringing you in. I will never recommend having you stay in therapy longer than you need to be. You can always come back in after we reach your original goal and something else comes up later on.
We will discuss frequency, type of session and duration throughout our time together to make sure we are best set up for success.

The specialties listed are not all encompassing and I’ve worked with many individuals on different challenges not listed. Scheduling a free consultation and chatting through your specific needs is the best way we can decide if I am a good fit for you.
If I feel my experience, knowledge or training is not sufficient for you, I will readily provide you with a referral.
